Sally has a studio in Oxford where she works in stoneware to hand build her pots, using either crank or black clays to create functional and sculptural pieces of all sizes.
She is a member of the West Forest Potters Guild and the From the Kiln group of ceramic artists. She exhibits annually during Oxfordshire Artweeks as well as at art fairs, sculpture gardens and with galleries. In addition, under the exhibition theme “Curvilinear”, she shows with photographer Tracy Florance on a regular basis.
She takes her inspiration from traditional classic forms as well as from the lines, tones and textures of nature. Her work is frost resistant and is therefore suitable for use both indoors and outside.
We like Sally’s experimentation with unusual shapes, glazes and colours.
